Jeff began his career with Michigan Medicine, serving as faculty in the Department of Emergency Medicine. He worked in the Emergency Department at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan gaining unparalleled frontline clinical experience at a Level I trauma center. Jeff’s varied educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University (History of Art), a master’s degree from Georgetown University (Physiology & Biophysics), medical doctorate from the University of Michigan Medical School and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan Rackham Graduate School. The degree from Rackham focused on how to build high-reliability infrastructure to achieve sustainable business, health, and social outcomes. In his commitment to continuous education, Jeff has earned multiple certifications throughout his professional career. He is fully credentialed as a Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor (CM&AA®). CM&AA® is an advanced credential that represents the highest recognized standards of professional excellence for middle market corporate finance, advisory, and transaction service professionals. Jeff lives in Bloomfield Hills, MI with his wife Alysia, daughter Mila, and a pack of Australian Shepherds. He volunteers at Oakland Family Services (OFS), where he is helping to build administrative capacity for greater care integration. Oakland Family Services is a nonprofit human service organization serving Oakland County since 1921. Michael Roth is a nationally renowned consultant/executive in the healthcare and technology fields. Mike has a proven track record as an executive leader for not-for-profit technology initiatives in the healthcare industry as well as integration and strategy projects for multiple private capital-funded investments. As an “advisor’s advisor”, and an active investor and board member, his contemporary knowledge and direct exposure to the challenges facing healthcare and technology provide unparalleled breadth and depth for high impact decision making. Michael has worked in healthcare information technology and operations since 1994. Initially as a manager of information systems for the Detroit Medical Center, followed by a multi-state IT Management role with the Anheuser-Busch Companies. With support and mentorship from senior executives at A-B, Mike opened his first technology company, a HP & NEC distributorship, in 1997. His diverse career experience has included full accountability for budgeting, bidding, contracting, project management, delivery, training and technical support components of technology platforms and systems on over 270 client engagements spanning more than 1,000 clinical sites. Michael has founded and sold multiple healthcare technology and consulting services businesses and has led the technological and operational integrations of clinical entities across the United States. Mike routinely overcomes barriers and mobilizes resources that pose insurmountable challenges to competitors. Michael has extensive formal education in business, healthcare and information technology, including graduate degrees in Information Systems Management (Central Michigan University) and Healthcare Infrastructures & Learning Systems (University of Michigan). Mike holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Cleary University and has achieved the Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) credential. As a passionate aviator, Mike has obtained extensive training in aviation that includes the FAA Airline Pilot License (aviation’s PhD) and five Flight Instructor Certifications. Earlier in his career, Michael trained with state and federal entities on incident command and disaster response, including two summers at the IDC in Israel for terrorism response. As the son and husband of US Navy veterans, the physical and behavioral health of active duty, veterans and first responders are of great interest to Mike. He is currently seeking board opportunities to contribute to that mission. He served 14 years as a Firefighter Lieutenant and HazMat Technician in Oakland County, Michigan. He continues his community service as a guest lecturer at the University of Michigan Ross & Medicine and recently celebrated over 15 years of flying holiday gifts to foster children across Michigan for Operation Good Cheer.
